Video & Sound Design

Being a part of a wide creative community, I get the pleasure of working with many different talents and perspectives, across music and film. So, when I get the opportunity to add sound to a visual or jump behind the camera to document or tell a story, I relish (did he just say relish?) in the opportunity to learn from my peers and lend my own ideas to the project. Below are just a few projects I’ve been lucky to be a part of over the years, from commercials to music videos.

Splash Blast

Another fun project with Wove Collective and adding some sound flavours (is that a thing?) to this already energetic animation.

Adidas Cloud

Absolutely loved contributing sound design to the ‘Adidas Cloud’ shoe project, collaborating with the talented team at Wove Collective. Though the visuals were already stunning, I had a ton of fun bringing it to life with sound.

“The Death of Me”

Having filmed many videos for my good friends and Canadian Rock icons Harem Scarem over 15 years - from documentaries, live shows and music videos - The Death of Me has to be one of my favorites. It certainly helped that the track itself was killer.

“O-o-h Child”

As an educator, I love when I get to be a part of projects and organizations that help build and support youth in music. Being a part of the Doane Music School projects such as this one, are always a blast to film and edit.

“Bakugan”

In the early days I was asked to sing on a few tunes for commercials and television. Here’s a younger version of me!

“The High that We’re Riding”

Who doesn’t love a good live-off-the-floor recording with video? Always a challenge to shoot multiple angles simultaneously, but I think this video for my good friends Smoke & Ashes turned out quite well! You should check them out.
